Helen S. Brown, age 87, of Taneytown, Maryland, died peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Lorien Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown, Maryland.
She was born on June 29, 1925 in N.C., daughter of the late Hack and Jenny Ann (Netherton) Smathers.
Surviving are daughters, Brenda Santoni of Point Pleasant, N.J., Linda Oravecz of Gettysburg, PA, and Kelly Welker of Taneytown, MD.
Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Westminster Baptist Church, 354 Crest Lane, Westminster, MD. Interment will be private.
Local arrangements are by the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown, Maryland.
