Helen (Miller) Blizzard

Helen Louise Blizzard, 93, of Westminster died peacefully on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Longview Nursing Home in Manchester, MD.  Born January 22, 1925 in Finksburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Marie “Carrie” (Glatzel) Miller.  She was the wife of the late Holloday Raymond Blizzard, to whom she was married for 55 years.

During her working years, Helen was a real estate agent for two local realtors in Carroll County and worked as a secretary for Maryland State government.  She attended Carrollton Church of God in Finksburg and Northwest Baptist Church in Reisterstown.  She enjoyed sewing and reading.

Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie McCusker and husband Tom of Westminster; granddaughter, Angie Miller and husband “Bunky” of Westminster; grandson, Mark McCusker and wife Lydia of Phoenix, MD; and great-grandchildren, Zack Miller and Miles and Flora McCusker.

Services were private.  Interment was at Carrollton Church of God Cemetery in Finksburg.  Arrangements were entrusted to MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
