Hazel M. Frock, age 93, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, died on Monday, September 12, 2011 at the Genesis-Gettysburg Center in Gettysburg, PA.
Born October 28, 1917 in Emmitsburg, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Emma (Wetzel) Sheeley. She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 70 years, Roland L. “Bud” Frock in 2009.
She was a member of Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church in Emmitsburg. Hazel was a homemaker for most of her life and was well known for her family meals, gatherings, and famous potato salad recipe. She was always available and willing to help family and friends in need.
Surviving are daughters, Linda Hobbs of Emmitsburg, MD, and Lona Stoops and husband Craig of Gettysburg, PA; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 W. North Street, Emmitsburg, with her pastor the Rev. Jon R. Greenstone officiating. Interment will follow in the Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Arrangements are by the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Emmitsburg, MD.
