Harriett Helen Webster-Long, 77, of Westminster, died Wednesday morning, January 7, 2015 at Golden Living Nursing Center following a lengthy illness from a debilitating stroke.
Born June 28, 1937 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Daniel C. and Harriet Anderson Long.
She earned her L.P.N. degree from Frederick Community College and worked as an LPN at Golden Living Nursing Center. She was a member of Ascension Episcopal Church. Harriett was one of the co-founders of Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County and served as a volunteer and counselor for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother, devoted to her family.
Surviving her is a daughter, M. Lynn Earp and husband, Michael of Westminster; son, D. Paul Webster and wife, Lisa, of Westminster; four grandchildren, Mandi, Nick, Sean and Nathan, and a great-grandson, Jimmy. She was predeceased by son J. Larry Webster.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 10th from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:30 AM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, with Father Samuel Nsengiyumva officiating. Graveside services will be private at Meadow Branch Cemetery.
