Gwyn Buell

Gwyn Louise Buell, 55, of Westminster, MD, died peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the Westminster Healthcare Center.  Born May 28, 1966 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late James and Lillian (Geisler) Buell.

Gwyn was a graduate of Carroll Spring School.  She was a member of the Carrollton Church of God family in Finksburg.  She had been actively involved with Change, Inc. (now Penn-Mar Foundation).  Gwyn loved her dogs, Dusty and Whiskers, the Ravens and Orioles, wrestling, music, line dancing, movies and popcorn, arts and crafts, tie-dye, dolphins, horses, and spending time with her friends.  She was a happy and joy-filled person whose smiles and laughter lifted the spirits of all who encountered her.  One of her favorite days of the year was her birthday.

Surviving are her brother, Jim Buell and wife Karen of Westminster, with whom she lived for 11 years; nieces, Holly Ellison (Todd), and Mandy Buell; and great-niece, Lillian Grace Ellison.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Lynn Young and Dawn Buell.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Carrollton Church of God, 2151 Bethel Rd., Finksburg, MD 21048, on Thursday, February 17, 2022, with Pastor Dave Meador officiating.  Burial will follow in the Carrollton Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carrollton Church of God at the above address.
