Grace A. Miller, age 92, of Keymar, Maryland, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at the Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium.
Born January 11, 1919 in Accident, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Lillie (Georg) Margraff. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Emmert D. Miller.
She graduated in 1935 from Accident High School and worked for a time as a seamstress at Borenstein’s Clothing Factory in Taneytown. Grace was an active and long-time member of the Mt. Union Lutheran Church in Middleburg, where she served as secretary to the WELCA and as pianist for the Sunday School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed feeding the birds especially cardinals.
Surviving are children, Linda Nickles and husband Herbert of Littlestown, Dale Miller and wife Mickey of San Jose, California, and Sandra Yingling and husband Chuck of Dallastown, PA; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Mt. Union Lutheran Church in Middleburg with her pastor the Rev. Richard Michael and Rev. Virgil Cain co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Union Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 29th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 East Baltimore St., Taneytown and on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of service at the church.
