Grace Romaine Siegman Buschman, age 94, formerly of Westminster, Maryland, died on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Golden Crest Assisted Living in Hampstead.
Born October 12, 1917 in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Clayton M. and Ruth V. (Shaeffer) Siegman. She was predeceased by her husband, George G. Buschman, Sr.
Grace was a 1934 graduate of Manchester High School and was an accomplished seamstress for many years. She was a member of St. John’s (Leisters) Evangelical Lutheran Church in Westminster, where she sang on the church choir for many years and was a devoted Sunday School teacher. In her early years she enjoyed ballroom dancing.
Surviving are siblings, Adelaide Sies, Betty Hoff, Kenneth R. Siegman all of Westminster, and Arlene Bakner of Texas; step-son, John W. “Jack” Buschman of Alaska. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
She was predeceased by siblings, Mary Beyer, John, George, and Harry Siegman; and by step-children, George G. Buschman, Jr. and Gloria Voith.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday from the funeral home with her pastor the Rev. Kristin Dubsky officiating. Interment will follow in St. Benjamin’s (Kriders) Lutheran Cemetery in Westminster.
