Gordon Edward Belleson, age 87 of Westminster, died June 1, 2008 at his home. He was born October 21, 1920 in Carroll County, Maryland the son of the late Milton C. and Carrie Mae Lindsay Belleson. Before retirement he worked as a forklift operator at Black & Decker Corp. in Hampstead. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and received a purple heart while serving in the European Theatre. He was a life member of N.R.A.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, Jim Arnold, Jr. of North Carolina, Tom Arnold of Maryland, Linda Iverson of New Hampshire, Deborah West of Virginia and Patricia Brown of Maryland; sister, Madolyn Phillips of Ocala, Florida.
He was predeceased by brothers, Albert and William Belleson and niece, Sandra Brown.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday 3:30 pm at Bethesda Church Cemetery in Gist, MD.
