Harry Glenn Reaver, 82, of Taneytown, MD, died peacefully on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, PA. Born April 11, 1934 in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Ervin and Ida (Sprankle) Reaver. He was the husband of Lucinda “Cindy” (Gue) Reaver, to whom he was married for 64 years.
Glenn was a truck driver for various area companies throughout his career. He was a member and former elder of Piney Creek A.R. Presbyterian Church near Taneytown. He enjoyed watching wrestling, traveling to visit family members in South Carolina and Florida, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter, Terry Stambaugh of Gettysburg, PA; son, Steven Reaver and fiancé Cindy Speak of Littlestown, PA; sister, Helen Wimert of Taneytown; 3 grandchildren, Ryan Stambaugh and wife Amy of Union Bridge, Shannon Franklin and husband Justin of Westminster, and Tracie Konigsbauer and husband Jason of CO; 5 great-grandchildren, Grady, Josie, RJ, Jenna, and Peyton; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Sheridan Reaver; 2 sisters, Dorothy Wentz and Mary Alice Wetzel; and a grandson, Paul H. Roberts, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Piney Creek A.R. Presbyterian Church, 4472 Harney Rd., Taneytown, MD, 21787, with the Rev. Paul Matthews III officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD.
