Ginny Lee Young, daughter of the late Bernard Edward Suter and Madeline Suter Lippy, passed peacefully on October 9, 2024.
Ginny was interested in always learning new and different things. Ginny was an original switchboard operator, Rehab Counselor at Granite House, and Licensed electrologist who owned her own business. She devoted many years to assisting in the Mental Health field, running help groups out of her home and as a member of Carroll County Mental Health & Addictions Advisor Committee. She was President of the Bureau of Aging Cranberry Winners supporting senior health. Very social, Ginny always enjoyed meeting new people, and wanted to be the first to greet someone and welcome them in a new environment. Ginny thoroughly enjoyed many interests through her life and they were varied: Ballroom Dancing, Square Dancing, Ice Skating, Skiing, Horseback Riding Swimming, Tennis, Camping, Cards, Trivia, Writing Poems, Reading Non-Fiction, and her cats.
Predeceased by son Richard S. Paul, beloved niece Christina Jo Suter and nephew Steve Suter.
Ginny is survived by devoted daughter Susan Arrington {Wayne}, niece Connie Leviton, and great-nephew Christopher Harris. Ginny leaves many very close friends, her Atlee Hill dear friends and caregivers, and her church family at Westminster Church of the Brethren.
A time of memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. at Westminster Church of the Brethren, 19 Bond St, Westminster, MD 21157. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Glenn McCrikard officiating.
