George R. Keller, 81, of Catonsville, died peacefully on Monday morning, October 13, 2014 at Transitions Healthcare in Sykesville.
Born November 27, 1932 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late George W. and Alice E. Nicholson Keller. He is survived by his wife, Connie Carnes Keller, to whom he was married for 61 years.
George was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired in 1994 after working as a Pharmacist for N.S.A. He loved his pet Dobermans and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan.
Surviving him in addition to his wife is a son, David M. Keller and wife, Janine of Key West, FL and daughter, Diane M. Beatty and husband, Mark, of Manchester, MD; sister, Ruth Warfield of Westminster; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Wayne Keller and a sister, Edith O’Hara.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2014 from the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, with Reverend Anne C. Durboraw officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery in Owings Mills. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
