Genevieve F. Feeser, age 91, of Taneytown, Maryland died on Christmas Day, Saturday, December 25, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving and devoted family.
Born July 27, 1919 near Harney, Maryland in Carroll County she was the daughter of the late David E. and Pauline (Null) Yealy. She was predeceased by her husband Russell Ellsworth Feeser in 1984.
Genevieve was a 1938 graduate of Littlestown High School and worked for over 40 years at the Cambridge Rubber Factory. She also worked side by side with her husband on the family farm and building businesses. She and her husband traveled the world extensively visiting, Europe, Russia, and China. Genevieve was a life member of Messiah United Methodist Church in Taneytown, the Ki-wives (Kiwanis Club), and the Farm Bureau. She loved flowers, gardening, cooking, singing and playing the piano. She and her late husband were very philanthropic, donating ground to the Carroll County Library System for the Taneytown Branch of the Library and for the Inter-Faith Housing Project in Taneytown.
Surviving are children, Franklin E. Feeser and wife Julie A. of Taneytown, Richard G. Feeser and wife Patricia of Berlin, MD, Patricia A. Bean and husband William of Hustontown, PA, Sharon R. Rosel and husband Dennis of Silver Spring, MD, David R. Feeser and wife Barbara of Taneytown, and Yvonne G. Davis and husband Randy of Littlestown, PA; sister, Joyce A. Shoemaker of Taneytown; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Sentz in 2008.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Messiah United Methodist Church in Taneytown with the Rev. Arthur D. Thomas, Jr. and Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Grace United Church of Christ Cemetery in Taneytown. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 11 AM until the time of service at the church.
