Francis Oster, age 78, of Westminster, died peacefully Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Westminster. Born November 23, 1933 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Edwin and Mary Kaufman Oster, Sr. He was the husband of the late Annie Corrine Lazenby Oster.
Francis was a computer programmer for Martin Marietta Corporation for many years. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Westminster. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed target shooting. He also enjoyed watching old western movies and the Baltimore Orioles.
Surviving are sons, Francis H. Oster and wife Teresa of Westminster, Richard Oster of Florida, Robert Oster and wife Carol of Florida, & Timothy Oster and wife Connie of Florida; daughters, Karen Wilson and husband Scott of Chase, MD, & Brenda Gallagher and husband Kevin of Baltimore; brothers, Bert Oster and wife Ann of Ocean Pines, MD, & Edwin Oster, Jr. and wife Larue of Maryland; sister, Mary Buchness and husband Jeb of Sykesville; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
