Frances "Franny" (Klein) Herrmann

Frances Ann Herrmann, 88, of Westminster, died peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at BridgingLife Hospice Dove House.  Born January 5, 1934, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late George and Alberta (Hampton) Klein.  She was the wife of the late Donald Edwin Herrmann, to whom she was married for 51 years.

Franny worked at T.W. Mathers in Westminster for several years, where she ran the Scout Shop.  She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Westminster and was active in the Ladies’ Sodality.  She enjoyed gardening, listening to music, reading, and attending church services.  Frances loved birds, bunnies, and her "grand-dog" Ripley, named after her husband's hometown.  She took great joy in the simple things of life.  She was selfless, kind and put family above all else.

Surviving is her daughter, Cynthia Dotterer (Steven) of Westminster; son, Daniel Herrmann (Vickie) of York, PA; siblings, James Klein, Dorothy Koster, Bonnie Quesinberry, Christine Phelan, and Linda Winter; grandchildren, Holly Larsen (LeRoy), Timothy Lemmerman Jr. (Sarah), Amanda Adams (Wesley), Matthew Dotterer, and Emily Green (Thomas); great-grandchildren, Gabriel “Brie”, Tyler, Owen, LeRoy “Lee”, Mackenzie, Quentin, and Lilyana; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband Donald, she was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Lemmerman; and siblings, George Klein Jr., Joyce Converso, Thomas Klein, Nancy Bouvuin, Mary Shanklin, Michael Klein, Carol Murphy and Ann Winter.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, MD.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, MD with the Rev. Mark Bialek as celebrant.  Interment will follow at Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore.
