Frances Viola Waltz, age 64, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at her home. Born October 29, 1947 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Geneva Gladys (Waltz) Flater and step-daughter of the late John A. Flater.
Frances worked as a secretary in the Reisterstown offices for Kennedy Krieger Institute. She was a graduate of Westminster High School Class of 1965. She enjoyed drawing and retelling family history.
Surviving are siblings, Geneva “Chris” Hugg and husband Lawrence of Westminster, Libby Ness of Hebron, MD, John H. Flater of Baltimore, and James Flater of Westminster. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster with Rev. Richard K. Shamer officiating. Inurnment in Deer Park Methodist Cemetery in Westminster will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
