Frances C. Greenholtz, 93, of Westminster, died Wednesday morning, May 11, 2016 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born August 10, 1922 in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Nell Boggs Dyer. Her husband of 64 years, Dudley E. Greenholtz, predeceased her in 2007.
Frances was a seamstress for Westminster Knit, retiring after 30 years of service. She was a life-long member of Stone Chapel U. M. Church. She enjoyed baking, making dolls and clothes for her grandchildren, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn “Sue” Weaver and husband, Nolan, of Westminster and Wanda L. Little and husband, Fred, of Westminster. grandchildren, Jeffrey Weaver and wife, Beth of Hanover, PA, Melissa Staggs and husband, Matt, of Hampstead, John Weaver and wife, Stacy, of Westminster, Matthew Little and wife, Stacy, of Hampstead, Melanie Martindale and husband, Jason, of Mt. Airy and Julie Willis and husband, Sean, of Westminster; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Gabrielle, Samantha, Sean Jr, Jordynn, Cory, Megan, Ryan, Jessie and Alex; and great-great grandchildren, Zachary, Jhonen, Trenton, Aaron James and Adalyn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her family, being predeceased by her siblings, Eunice, Avoline, Peggy, Ruth, Bill, James and Lloyd.
Burial will be private in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157. Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, Westminster, is in charge of arrangements.
