Frances Rose (Nash) Ebaugh

March 10, 1931 — December 7, 2013

Frances Rose Nash Ebaugh, 82, of Keysville, died peacefully at her home Saturday, December 7, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.  Born March 10, 1931 in Smock, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael Freeman and Julia Cholibska, and step-daughter of the late Benny Nash.  She was the wife of Robert Wilson Ebaugh who died in 1974.

Frances retired after 23 years as a coil-winder on the assembly line at the Black and Decker Company in Hampstead.  She had worked previously at Cambridge Rubber Company in Taneytown.  After retirement she worked in a variety of positions at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, which included duties in the priests’ kitchen.  She was a member of Keysville Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Frances enjoyed spending time with her family, playing Bingo, Scrabble, cards games of all kinds, and bowling.  She enjoyed going on cruises, playing the slots at Charlestown, and vacationing in Nags Head, NC and Florida with family and friends.

Surviving are children, Sharon Graham of Keysville, Sharlotte Guyton and husband Don of Littlestown, PA, Richard Ebaugh and wife Debbie of New Midway, Dennis Ebaugh and wife Elaine of Emmitsburg, Phillip Ebaugh and wife Nina of Fairfield, PA, Brian and Donald Ebaugh both of Keysville, and Nancy Miller and husband Tom of Taneytown; sister, Viola Thomas of Tampa, FL; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by son, Bruce Edward Ebaugh who died in 1976, and siblings, John, Sophia, Marie, and George.

Frances’ family will receive friends 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 11 at Keysville Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7301 Keysville Rd, Keymar, MD.  A memorial service to celebrate Frances’ life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr., the Rev. Stephen Trzecieski, C.M., and Pastor Gary Buchman officiating.  Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Keysville Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Carroll County, 292 Stoner Ave, Westminster, MD, 21157 or to Keysville Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7301 Keysville Rd, Keymar, MD, 21757.
