Floyd E. "Sonny" Smith, Sr., age 85, of Westminster, Maryland died on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at his home.
Born January 7, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late George and Anna Bowers Smith. He was predeceased by his wife Virginia F. Smith in 1999.
Floyd was a brick mason.
Surviving are children, Floyd Smith, Jr. of Baltimore, John Smith of W.Va., Audrey Blickenstaff of Taneytown, Lloyd Smith of Gettysburg, Vivian Tallan of Spokane, Russell Smith of Hanover, Robert Smith and Walter Smith both of Westminster; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; half-brothers, Dan, Carroll, John “Butch”, Steve, Edward, and Tim.
He was predeceased by his sister, Betty Moore.
Services and interment will be private.
