Flora E. Stevens James, 84, of Taneytown, Maryland died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at her home.
Born October 15, 1924 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Arabelle Prentiss Stevens. She was the wife of the late Lawrence J. James.
She was a housewife and mother.
Surviving are son, Richard D. James and wife Sarah of Taneytown; brother, Edward Stevens of Baltimore; Grandchildren, Janae Foley & husband William of Eldersburg, Amy Gromada & husband Andrew of Taneytown, and Louis “Bill” Miller and wife Beth of San Francisco; and great grandchildren, Andrew & Joshua Fonseca.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Myers-Durboraw funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, Maryland with the Rev. William Rumbaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, PA.
The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
