Flora Frances Hahn, age 74, of Keymar, Maryland, died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.
Born August 26, 1936 in Cabin Creek, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Mahlon and Delcie Lovejoy Welch. She was the wife of the late Franklin “Poncho” Hahn, to whom she was married 59 years.
She worked at Random House in Westminster for 27 years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, crafts, raising flowers cooking and feeding wild birds. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are children, Dale L. Hahn and wife Pat of Mifflin, PA, Gail K. Roop and husband Irvin of Union Bridge, Diane L. Hahn and fiancée George Funt of Waynesboro, PA, Steve M. Hahn and wife Linda of Taneytown, Vicki A. Hahn of Union Bridge, and Christopher A. Hahn, Sr. of Keymar; sister, Wilma Vosburg and brother-in-law, Bradley of Westminster; and brother, Carlos Welch and sister-in-law, Nancy of Waynesboro, PA. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Franklin “Denny” Hahn, and a sister, Barbara Ann Welch.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD. Interment will follow in Haugh’s Church Cemetery in Ladiesburg, MD. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM and on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
