Fenton Love Piggott, 86, formerly of Westminster, died on Friday, April 15, 2022 at SpiriTrust Lutheran The Village at Utz Terrace, in Hanover, PA. Born April 26, 1935 in Leesburg, VA, he was the son of the late Fenton L. Piggott and Lillian (Lawson) Piggott Smith. He was the husband of the late Dolores Joan (Frock) Piggott.
Fenton was a Sales Representative for Ag-Chem Sales in Salisbury, MD for many years. He later worked as a realtor for Keller-Williams Real Estate. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree. He was a member of Masonic Door to Virtue Lodge #46 in Westminster, and the Westminster Lions Club. Fenton enjoyed hunting and traveling.
Surviving are his sisters, Betty Weidemeyer and husband Gene of Houston, TX, and Ruth Christoferson and husband Jack of Plymouth, MN; a sister-in-law; 3 brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. He is also remembered by his best friend, Jesse Crook. In addition to his wife and parents, Fenton was predeceased by his half-brother, Dr. John Burr Piggott.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Uniontown, MD. Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Benjamin Lutheran Church, 700 Kriders Cemetery Rd, Westminster, MD 21158.
