Faith Roop Ginn

Faith Roop Ginn, 72, of New Port Richey, FL, beloved mother and sister, died in Westminster, MD on December 20, 2023.

Faith was born on September 17, 1951 in Linwood, MD to Carroll and Blanch Roop.  She graduated from Francis Scott Key High School in 1969 and went on to earn degrees at McPherson College in Kansas and Eastern Kentucky University.  Faith taught at Harlan County Schools for seven years, before moving to teach at Hardy County Schools for 30 years.  She was an avid bird watcher and loved nature, learning, the Bible, playing the piano and traveling throughout the US.  Faith was a longtime member of the Church of the Brethren and more recently a member of the Horizon Worship Center in New Port Richey.

Faith married James Ginn on December 27, 1980.

She is survived by her children, Whitney Ginn and Aaron Ginn (Karen), both of Wardensville, WV.   Faith is also survived by her siblings, Samuel Roop (Esther), Mary Roop, Irvin Roop (Gail), Calvin Roop (Lois), Sidney Roop and Iris Roop.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James and her parents, Carroll and Blanche Roop.

A memorial celebration of Faith’s life will be officiated by Calvin Roop at the Sugar Grove Church of the Brethren, 1108 Trout Run Rd, Wardensville, WV 26851, on Saturday, January 20th at 11 AM.
