Evelyn M. Humbert, age 80, of Taneytown, Maryland, died peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born May 17, 1934 in Taneytown, Maryland she was the daughter of the late R. Clyde and Grace A. (Myers) Baumgardner. She was predeceased by her husband Paul E. Humbert in 1997.
Evelyn enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. She was retired from Super Fresh in Westminster in 2006 as a deli clerk. She watched “Price-Is-Right” and “The Voice” and enjoyed yard sales. She loved spending time with her pet dog “Raven” and with family and friends.
Surviving her are daughter, Kathy Caprarola and husband Paul of Taneytown; son, Richard Humbert of Taneytown; granddaughters, April Caprarola and Dori Zimmerman both of Taneytown; son-in-law, Doug Zimmerman of Taneytown; brothers, Harry Baumgardner and wife Dolores of Westminster and Richard Baumgardner and wife Dee of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Zimmerman.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 8 p.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St, Taneytown, MD, with the Rev. Elza Hurst officiating. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
