Evelyn Irene Foster, age 83 of Westminster, died Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. She was born November 2, 1925 in New Windsor, MD, the daughter of the late Russell C. and Thelma Fields Fritz. She was the wife of the late Clyde Foster who passed away in 2005 after 57 years of marriage. She was a member of Missionary Bible Baptist Church in Hanover, PA. She loved to spend time tending her flower beds. Her spiritual faith was her strength.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dale Wayne and Sharon Lee Foster of Hampstead; grandchildren, Melissa Sue Foster and Robert Wayne Foster both of Hampstead; step-granddaughter, Airyelle Nycole Frost of Westminster; great grandson, Zachary David Lippy of Hampstead; brother and sister-in-law Lewis “Bubbie” and Caroline Fritz of Westminster; sister, Betty Nusbaum of Finksburg; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Fritz of Hanover, PA, Catherine Fritz of New Windsor, MD and Marie Fritz of Union Mills, MD; also numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was predeceased by siblings, Donald (Tom) Fritz, Dorothy Bange, Ralph Fritz and Robert (Gene) Fritz.
A funeral service will be held at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster on Tuesday at 12 noon with Pastor Mark Rohnke officiating.
Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster.
The family will receive friends Tuesday 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
