Etta (Sharpe) Treuchet

May 31, 1931 — November 29, 2017

Etta Sharpe Treuchet, 86, of Westminster passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, surrounded by her loving family.  Born May 31, 1931 in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late William and Etta (Burnette) Sharpe.  She was the wife of the late Frank Noble Treuchet, to whom she was married for 58 years.

Etta was a secretary at the Franklin Elementary School in Reisterstown for many years.  She enjoyed reading and could often be found relaxing with a good book.  She was a long-time member of the Glyndon Garden Club.

Surviving are daughter, Linda E. DeCarlo and husband Bob of Reisterstown; son, Ken Treuchet and wife Bess of Finksburg; grandchildren, Hunter Treuchet and wife Allison of Mary Esther, FL, Austin and Carter Treuchet of Finksburg, Holly DeCarlo-White and husband Alex of Stuttgart, Germany, and Lisa DeCarlo-Rodriguez of Reisterstown; great-grandchildren, Masters and Shepard Treuchet; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sister, Betty Christhilf; and brothers, Donald, William and Allen Sharpe.

A memorial service to celebrate Etta’s life will be announced at a later time.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Garden Club.  Please contact the funeral home for additional information about submitting memorial contributions.
