Eric Christopher Gartrell

Eric Christopher Gartrell, also known as "big poppa and big e”, 24, of Westminster, Maryland died suddenly on Sunday, August 9, 2020.

Born October 2, 1995 in Westminster, MD, he was the son of Chauncey Jenkins, Jr. of Baltimore and Lisa Gartrell of Westminster.

Eric enjoyed listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.  He was an avid colts fan.

Surviving in addition to his parents are paternal grandparents, Teresa and Gene Bazmore of Baltimore; maternal grandmother, Geraldine Gartrell of Westminster; life-time companion, Heather Phyles of Westminster; step-children, Destini and Olivia; brothers, Chauncey Jenkins, III, Jonathon and Aric Turner; sisters, Deja Jenkins, Destani Brooks, and Kala Jenkins; uncle, William (Bubba) Gartrell, Jr.; nieces, Mariyah McQuay and Nayanna Baldwin; close goonz, Hannah, Dion, Tori, Hunter, Anthony, Richard Altman and family.

He was predeceased by maternal grandfather, William Gartrell, Sr.

A private family memorial gathering will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
