Born June 17, 1926 in Trenton, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Howard and Ethel Richter Barnes. She was predeceased by her husband, Leslie R. Black.
Surviving are children, Paul Black, Ruth Warren, Rachael Mathias, Linda Steckline, Joyce Marshall, and Daniel Black; brothers, Truman and Robert Barnes; sister, Emma Thomas; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside service and interment will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Pipe Creek Cemetery Union Bridge, Maryland.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.
