Ella Elizabeth Dell, 80, of Finksburg, Maryland, died peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.
Born on April 14, 1936 in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Z. and Dorothy L. (Devilbiss) Garber. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald D. Dell in 1973.
Elizabeth was a graduate of New Windsor High School class of 1954. She was an active member of the Women of the Moose and Senior Regent. She worked as a seamstress for Hock Upholstery in Westminster for 30 years. Lib enjoyed cooking, sewing, working on crossword puzzles, and spending time with family.
Surviving her are children, Rita and Steve Walker of Falling Waters, WV., Rick and Shirley Dell of Westminster, Ralph and Krissy Dell of Finksburg, and Rhonda and Jimmy Puckett, Jr. of Westminster; grandchildren, Ryan, Rachael, Haleigh, Zachary, and Meagan Dell, Kendyl, Colin and Kolton Puckett, Chelsea Miller, Stephen, Christopher, and Joshua Walker; siblings, Ralph and Ann Marie Garber of Gettysburg, William and Caroline Garber of New Windsor, Richard and Mary Garber of Union Bridge, Dolores and Charles Frountfelter of New Windsor, and Gary and Peggy Garber of New Windsor; sister-in-law, Betty Garber of Union Bridge; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brother, Maurice Garber; and by sisters, Joan Garber, Carolyn Miller, and Fay Minnick.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 7 p.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster. Interment will be private in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
