Elizabeth Alice Welsh, age 71 of Westminster went to join God’s angels in heaven on Friday, July 27, 2012 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
She was born September 16, 1940 in Baltimore, daughter of the late Henry and Alice Brown Naill. She was the wife of the late Frank James Welsh, Jr. her husband of 42 years.
She was a dietician at Springfield Hospital and custodian for the Carroll County Board of Education. She worked as a seamstress for the Mt. Airy Sewing Factory. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, train rides and visits to the mountains. She loved collecting angels and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by sons, James Welsh of Westminster, Kenneth Welsh and wife, Helen of Sykesville, Joseph Welsh and wife, Beverly of New Windsor, Timothy Welsh and wife, Tina of Gloucester, VA, Jeffery Welsh and companion, Robin Bennett of Mt. Airy; daughter, Debra Brown and husband, Al of Navarre, FL; nephews, (who she raised as sons) Marty Williams of Westminster, Robert Fry of VA. and Leo Fry of Florida; sister, Nancy Thompson and husband, Ellis of Mt. Airy; David Naill and wife, Debbie of Mt. Airy, Ralph Naill and wife, Kathy of Mt. Airy, Donnie Naill and wife, Jenny of Virginia and Michael Naill and wife, Susan of Pennsylvania; also survived by 32 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Naill and sister Teresa Naill.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, August 1, 2012
at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with the Rev. David L. Meador officiating.
Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery in Taylorsville.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
