Elizabeth Clara Tatum, 82, of Union Bridge, Maryland, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born August 7, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Warren Benjamin Newland, Sr. and Elizabeth Deckert Newland. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 63 years, Norwood Earl Tatum, Sr.
Elizabeth worked as a cashier with A & P supermarkets in Westminster for over 25 years. She loved shopping for family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are son, Norwood Earl Tatum, Jr. and wife Denise of Littlestown, PA; daughters, Balinda Virginia Green of Manchester, and Brenda Grace Davidson and husband Richard of Littlestown; grandchildren, Joshua Tatum, Jessica Baeuerlien and husband Chris, Ryan Tatum, William Green and wife Gabrielle, Juliana Szczepanik and husband Nathan, Angela O’Brien and husband George, Ricky Davidson, and Amber Davidson; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Warren B. Newland, Jr. of Perry Hall.
She was predeceased by a sister, Juanita Lawson, and son-in-law, William H. Green.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Pastor Tom Cantville officiating. Interment will follow in the Pipe Creek Cemetery near Linwood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
