Elizabeth Sarah Oliver, age 87, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Transitions Healthcare Center in Sykesville.
She was born on October 6, 1926 in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of the late Jesse E. and Teresa (McGown) Parker. She was predeceased by her husband, James F. Oliver, Jr. in 2007.
She helped with the running and operation of the family farm and later the home contracting business. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are son, J. Edward Oliver and wife Patricia of Westminster; daughter, Joann Foerster and husband Owen of Smithsburg; grandchildren, William Foerster and wife Barb of W.Va., Emily Oliver of Wash. D.C., and Michael Oliver of Westminster.
She was predeceased by sister, Margaret Weiss and brother, Charles Parker.
A private service and interment in Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster will be held on Sunday. There will be no public visitation.
