Elizabeth Theresa Dunn, age 83, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday morning, July 26, 2014 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born April 6, 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Gustavus B. Rice, Jr. and Mary M. (Tamm) Rice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jonah Marshall Dunn in 2005.
Elizabeth was a faithful communicant of St. John Catholic Church in Westminster. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved animals. She loved time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughters.
Surviving her are a devoted and loving brother, Gustavus B. “Sonny” Rice, III of Westminster; children, Theresa M. Dunn of Chester, John M. Dunn and wife Dottie of Westminster, Mary M. Dunn of Westminster, and Ann M. Roeder and husband John of New Windsor; grandchildren, Summer Harrell, Valerie and Michael Dunn; great-granddaughters, Emma and Ella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster with Rev. John F. Lesnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster.
