Elisabeth C. “Libby” Corbin, age 90, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Westminster Ridge.
Born October 26, 1925 in Uniontown, MD, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Carrie V. (Slonaker) Caylor. She was predeceased by her husband, John Richard “Dick” Corbin in 2000.
Elisabeth was a graduate of the New Windsor High School class of 1942. She worked from 1964 to 1973 for Quality Cleaners as a clerk and from 1973 until her retirement in 1995 for Carroll County General Hospital as a ward clerk in the E.R. She was a member of Uniontown Bible Church and also attended Church of the Open Door.
Surviving are children, Gregory D. Corbin and wife Alice of Hampstead, Martha A. Reaver of Westminster, and Marilyn A. Stonesifer and husband J. William of Taneytown; 6 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by brothers, George and James Caylor.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster, MD, with Pastor Robert M. Kimmel, Pastor Deane Boyd, and Pastor Jim Korn officiating. Interment will be private in Uniontown Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23rd at the funeral home.
