Eleanor Grace (Del Castillo) Cottrill, 72, of Melbourne, Florida passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Wuesthoff Hospice in Rockledge, Florida. She had cancer.
Born September 16, 1935, in Camden, New Jersey, Eleanor was the middle of three children born to the late Nilo and Ethel (Dern) Del Castillo. She was the wife of Stan Cottrill, her husband of 49 years.
Eleanor was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was heavily involved in Girl Scouting during the 1970s. She was an avid and skilled quilter, devoting much of her time to making quilts for others and teaching others to quilt.
Surviving in addition to her husband are son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth & Kimberly Cottrill; daughters Katherine Maseroni, Shirley Grace and Carolyn Delap; son-in-law, Dennis Delap; and five grandchildren, Suzahn, Cameron, Roshanne, Ellie and Katie.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26 at Keysville Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7301 Keysville Rd. in Keysville, Maryland. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Inurnment at Keysville Union Cemetery will follow the service.
