Edward Richard Wolfe

November 18, 1937 — February 14, 2014

Edward Richard Wolfe, 76, of Taneytown died Friday, February 14, 2014 at Shepherd’s Glen Assisted Living in Taneytown.  Born November 18, 1937 in Bruceville, MD, he was the son of the late Grover and Ruth Airing Wolfe.

Edward worked 18 years at the Black & Decker Company in Hampstead then spent nearly 20 years with Carroll County Public Schools as a custodian.  He enjoyed bowling, archery, and shooting pool.  He attended the Evangelical Holiness Church in Gettysburg, PA.  He was a member of the Harney VFW Post 6918 and the Hesson Snider American Legion Post 120 in Taneytown.

Surviving are sons, Troy and Keith Wolfe of Taneytown; brother, Donald Wolfe of Taneytown; sister, Linda Skiles and husband John of Gettysburg, PA; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sister, Loretta Airing, and brothers, Dean and Alvin Wolfe.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, February 20 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD with the Rev. Harold Wantz officiating.  Burial will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
