Edward “Eddie” R. Little, age 79, of Taneytown, Maryland, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 10, 2009 at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Hospital in Baltimore.
Born September 24, 1929 in Taneytown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Jesse W. and Margie (Ecker) Little. He was predeceased by his wife Marian Maxine (Miller) Little in 2002.
Edward grew up on the family farm near Taneytown, and enjoyed farming for many years. He retired after many years as an assemblyman and wireman with Hadco Lighting Manufacturing Co. in Littlestown, PA. He was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church in Taneytown. Eddie loved vegetable gardening, raising rabbits, woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren, and helping out family and friends.
Surviving are a son, Wayne E. Little and wife Brenda of Westminster; grandchildren, Jenna Little and Nolan Little of Westminster, Nicole Hill of Virginia; siblings, Jesse Little of Littlestown, PA, Viola Schuchart, Edith Little, Catherine Little, and Larry Little all of Westminster, and Garry Little of Harney.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Norman Little.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, August 14, 2009 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 East Baltimore St., Taneytown, with his pastor the Rev. Dr. Arthur D. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Keysville Union Cemetery in Keymar. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
