Edward Nelson Koontz, Jr.

Edward N. Koontz, Jr., age 84, of Taneytown, MD, died Friday, February 3, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. Born December 24, 1938, he was the son of the late Edward N. Koontz, Sr. and Roseanna (Grimes) Koontz.

Ed was a truck driver and enjoyed watching birds and other wildlife on his property.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 65 years, Veronica A. (Forney) Koontz; sons, Jeffery Koontz and wife Linda, Gregorey Koontz Sr. and wife Jackqueline, Kerry Koontz and wife Erika, all of Taneytown; daughter, Lena Parenyak of Baltimore; and grandchildren, Edward Koontz, Warren Koontz, Steven Koontz, Gregorey Koontz, Jr. and Kate Shoemaker.
