Edward Paul Herman, age 85 of New Windsor, died Thursday December 20, 2012 at Sun Valley Assisted Living. He was born June 26, 1927 in Baltimore, son of the late John and Frances Kurek Herman. He was the husband of Dolores Wright Herman, who died in July 2003. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. Edward worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for the City of Baltimore and retired after 43 years. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Westminster, the American Legion Post #31 and the VFW Post #10145. He enjoyed playing golf and sports, especially soccer.

He is survived by children, Edward G. Herman of New Windsor, Dolores M. Imes of Arendtsville, PA and Clifford E. Larkins, Jr. of New Windsor; siblings, Theresa Fiden of Baltimore and Bernadine Gramil of Pasadena; also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by brothers, Raymond and Albert Herman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 pm Saturday December 21, 2012
at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe Street, Westminster.
Interment will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm
at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster.
