Edna Faye “Meme” aka “Ninnie” Robbins, 69, of Westminster died peacefully Friday, September 28, 2012 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster. Born October 15, 1942 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Dorothy Challis Petry. She was the wife of the late Donald Lee Robbins, who died in 1984.
Edna worked for several years in a variety of positions at Zoysia Farm near Taneytown and later for Wal-Mart in Westminster. She enjoyed fishing and listening to bluegrass and old country music.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Bonnie Portner and husband, Harry, of Dover, PA, Sherry Goode and husband, Robbie, of Delaplane, VA, and Dorothy Hagan and husband, David, Sr. of Silver Run; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Joshua, Erica aka “Ladybug,” Chrissy, and David aka “Mr. Hagan;” and great-grandson, Anthony aka “Mr. Kemferfer."
Arrangements are by Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown, MD. In honor of Edna’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave, Westminster, MD, 21157.
