Eddie Dean Gray, age 48 of Emmitsburg, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Pittinger. He was born April 6, 1960 in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania the son of Nancy Lee Baker Garrett of Pennsylvania and the late Warren Edward Gray. He attended school in Pennsylvania and lived with his grandmother, Edith Gray during his early years. He worked in the construction and excavation business for various contractors in Maryland and Pennsylvania. He liked motorcycles, working on various vehicles and farm machinery, going to auctions and fishing. He was Lutheran in faith. He had resided with the late Mrs. Ruth Wivell and her son, Patrick for two years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughters, Rhonda L. Gray Reese of Pennsylvania and Kirsten N. Gray of Taneytown; special friend, Kimberly Pittinger of Taneytown; sister, Karen Hensel of Pennsylvania; special caregivers, Catherine & Robert Pittinger of Emmitsburg; also survived by 2 grandchildren. Eddie will be missed by numerous relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Elias Ev. Lutheran Church, 100 W. North Avenue, Emmitsburg on Wednesday, May 21st at 7:00 pm with Rev. Jon Greenstone officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
