Earl Stanley Yingling, age 88, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born October 18, 1926 in Westminster, Maryland, he was the son of the late F. William and Roxie Mable (Tressler) Yingling.  He is survived by his wife, Catherine N. (Higgins) Yingling.
Earl was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during W.W.II.  He was an assemblyman for many years at 3M National Advertising Company in Westminster and later Westinghouse Corporation in Sykesville.  While working at Westinghouse he spent several years in Iran.  He also made tire deliveries for Barnes Service Center in Westminster.  He enjoyed crabbing, hunting, and camping.  He was a member of St. Mary’s UCC in Silver Run.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter, Beverly Pickett and husband Dennis of Westminster; grandchildren, Brandi Zirckel of CA., Stacy Ficken of GA, Kristy Winters of PA, and Brian Pickett of Frederick; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Owen Ficken, Lilah and Lydia Winters; sister, Carla Lorenz of Glen Mills, PA; 1 step-son, and 1 step-daughter.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Debbie Zirckel and by brothers, Hugh and Glenn Yingling; and by 1 step-son.
Graveside services and interment with military honors will be held at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Garrison Forest Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road in Owings Mills, MD.  The Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family defray final expenses.
