Dr. Dennis M. Zack, Maj Usaf, Ret.

Dr. Dennis M. Zack, Major, United States Air Force retired, age 80, died at his home on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Born December 11, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Matthew M. Zack and Viola Zack. He was the loving husband to Patricia Baumgardner. Married February 19, 1993, at Fort Ritchie, MD.

Dennis was a graduate of Culver Academy. Culver, IN, he then went to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, earning his PHD in physics. Following his graduation in 1970, he joined the US Air Force. His jobs included, a physicist, a scientific manager and an instructor. After serving 20 years, he retired and became a farmer. He grew crops and raised goats for meat.

Dennis was a kind and caring easy-going man, who enjoyed his time of the farm.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 12 p.m., at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD 21787. The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Internment will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery, 7301 Keysville Rd., Keysville, MD.
