Douglas Boyd Walsh, age 78 of Finksburg, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Carroll Hospital Center. He was born July 10, 1933 near Patapsco, MD son of the late James Walsh and Meryl Abbott Meyers Walsh Moser. He was the husband of Anna Czerwinski Walsh, his wife of 29 years. After 45 years of service, he retired as a shift supervisor from Congoleum Industries. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, feeding and watching birds and visits to Charlestown, WVA. He loved spending time with his grandson.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Terry Walsh of Finksburg; step-children, Patricia Ann Stonesifer and husband Larry of Charlotte Hall, MD and Howard Edward Harpel III of Finksburg; brother, Ron Moser and wife, Connie of Manchester; grandson, Parker D. Stonesifer; special niece, Becky Valianti of Westminster; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Sue Bollinger Walsh and siblings, Emerson Myers, Lillian Shipley, Clarence Myers, Sr., Gene Walsh and James Walsh.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Rev. Ray Newman officiating. Interment will be in Carrollton Church of God Cemetery, Finksburg.
The family will receive friends Friday 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
