Dorothy Ellen Yingling, age 77, of Frederick and formerly of Keymar, died peacefully Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Homewood at Crumland Farms Nursing Center near Frederick. Born February 26, 1935 in Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Dessie Grimes Horner. Twice married and widowed, she was the wife of the late Vernon G. Lookingbill and the late Richard V. Yingling.

Dorothy worked as a presser at the Borenstien’s Sewing Factory in Taneytown. She was a member of the former Keymar Evangelical Christian Church where she had been active in the Ladies Missionary Society. She enjoyed reading the Bible, attending worship services and various church functions, listening to gospel music, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are daughters, Christine Caswell & companion, Richard Dull, of Taneytown, Judy Hagan & husband, Frank, of Keymar, Brenda Dull & husband, Terry, of Fairfield, PA, Lori Stonesifer & companion, Brian Stitely, of Emmitsburg, Susan Pittinger & husband Michael, of Walkersville and Dawn Wilson & husband, Sam, of Hanover, PA; sons, Christopher Lookingbill & wife, Peggy, of Fairfield, PA, William Lookingbill of Taneytown, Charles Lookingbill of Littlestown, PA, and Martin Lookingbill & wife, Vicky, of Keymar; sister, Clementine Booth of Chambersburg, PA; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter, Dessie Elaine Lookingbill; brother, Leonard Horner; 2 granddaughters; and a great-grandson.

The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 7 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St, Taneytown, MD. Private funeral services and interment will be held Friday.
