Dorothy E. Rammes, 89, of Westminster, MD, died peacefully Sunday, December 6, 2015, at Golden Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Westminster. Born August 16, 1926 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Alice (Morgan) Ritter. She was the wife of the late Charles F. Rammes, who died in 2002.
Dorothy was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company for a number of years. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Westminster. She enjoyed cooking, watching movies, visiting Colonial Williamsburg, and collecting bird figurines.
Surviving are sons, Frank and Shannon Rammes of Westminster; and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by siblings, Margaret, Melvin, Leroy, Henry, and Edward Ritter, and daughter-in-law, Ruth (Emmert) Rammes.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St, Westminster, with Deacon Paul Cooke officiating. Interment will follow at Krider’s U.C.C. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
