Dorothy Anne Mills, 90, of Westminster, MD, formerly of Frederick, died peacefully Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. Born February 26, 1922 in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Hilton and Nettie Hickman. She was the wife of the late Benjamin L. Mills who died in 1993.
Dorothy grew up in Washington D.C. and moved to Prince Georges County to raise two sons. She was employed by NASA and Maryland Federal Bank, both for several years. After retirement she and her husband relocated to Port Orange, FL. She was an avid bingo and solitaire player.
Surviving are son, Thomas Mills of Charlotte Hall, MD; grandchildren, Angela and Steven Mills, daughter-in-law, Pamela Mills of Frederick and cousin, Carol Davis of Frederick.
She was predeceased by her son, John Mills, and her sister, Martha Bickley.
A memorial service will be held 12 noon Saturday, August 25, 2012
at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD 21157.
The family will receive friends Saturday 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
