Dorothy May Harbaugh, age 81, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Maryland.
Born May 9, 1928 in Fishing Creek, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Norma O. (Wallace) Parker. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, John William Harbaugh in 2005.
Dorothy was a resident of Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster for the past three years. She was a graduate of Baltimore Business College and worked as a secretary for Maryland Casualty Insurance Co., prior to raising her family. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Westminster.
Surviving are children and spouses, David John Harbaugh and wife Deborah of Hanover, Pa, Daniel Parker Harbaugh and wife Diana of Littlestown, Pa, and Diane Lynn Granic and husband Joseph of Westminster; grandchildren, Jonathan and Julie Harbaugh, Daniel Fisher and wife Lauren, Bethany and Charis Fisher, Joseph and Cassandra Granic, and 1 great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Carroll Parker in April 2009.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Calvary Bible Church, 2447 Hampstead-Mexico Road, Westminster, Maryland with Pastor Chuck Buettner officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville, Md. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster.
