Doris McDonald Thibodo, age 94, of Westminster, Maryland died peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at her daughter’s home.
Born in Tilden, Nebraska on July 2, 1920 she was the daughter of the late William H. and Pearl W. (Robinson) McDonald, Sr.  She married Paul J. Thibodo, Sr. in Walla Walla, Washington on October 21, 1944.  She was predeceased by her husband on April 2, 1999 after 55 years of marriage.
She spent her childhood in Twin Falls, Idaho, and completed 12 years of school and secretarial college.  She was employed by the Federal Government after working a short time in her hometown private secretarial business.  She retired from her position with the Department of Agriculture as Executive Secretary to the Director of the National Arboretum in August, 1978.  She enjoyed working at the Arboretum and said it was her “dream job.”
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Westminster, the Wisdom Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution.  She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, working puzzles, reading, travel, and her family.
Survived by daughters, Linda C. and husband Joseph Moran and Ellen L. and husband James Bibb, Jr; son, Paul J. Thibodo his wife Vicki predeceased her; brother, William H. McDonald, Jr.; grandchildren, Cathleen Armacost, Matthew Moran, Karen Fagan, James Bibb, Kimberly Dugger, Michelle Reel, Bryan Thibobo and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster with Rev. Jaime Garcia as celebrant.  Burial will be private in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Cumberland, MD.  Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in her name.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
