Donald Wolfe

March 31, 1944 — March 3, 2016

Donald Neal Wolfe, 71, of Taneytown, MD died peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at his home following a lengthy illness.  Born March 31, 1944 in Bruceville, MD, he was the son of the late Grover and Ruth (Airing) Wolfe.  He was the husband of the late Janet Helen (Krichten) Wolfe, to whom he was married for 36 years.

Donald was a Quality Inspector at Flowserve, formerly Worthington Pump Company, in Taneytown, where he was employed for more than 35 years.  He was a member of the Evangelical Holiness Church in Gettysburg, PA.  He enjoyed water skiing, fishing, hunting, camping, woodworking, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.  He loved the Lord and being active in his church.

Surviving are daughter, Tammy Honeycutt and husband Doug of Fairfield, PA; son, Tony Wolfe of Merritt Island, FL; sister, Linda Skiles and husband John of Hanover, PA; grandchildren, LeAnne Eltz and husband Phil of Taneytown, Doug Honeycutt Jr. and wife Michele of Taneytown, Chantay Bloom and husband Brandon of Emmitsburg, Meagan Cooke and husband Steven of Taneytown, and Daniel and Kristian Wolfe of New Oxford, PA; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Dalton, Chandler, Landon, Lileean, Maddie, Tenzyn, Hunter, and Trevor; and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sister, Loretta Airing, and brothers, Grover Dean, Alvin, and Edward Wolfe.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the Evangelical Holiness Church, 5 White Church Rd., Gettysburg, PA, with Pastor Harold Wantz officiating.  Interment will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, 21787.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, MD Chapter, 100 Painters Mill Rd, Suite 800, Owings Mills, MD, 21117.
