Donald Catrow Weller, age 90 of Westminster, died Friday, March 20, 2009 at Carroll Lutheran Health Care Center. He was born Aug 27, 1918 in West Virginia, the son of the late George Allen and Susan Catrow Weller. He was the husband of Madalyn Beck Weller, his wife of 67 years. He was a member of St. Benjamin’s (Kriders) Lutheran Church. He worked as a farmer and enjoyed vegetable gardening and growing roses. He collected antique glassware and enjoyed playing cards. He retired from Super Fresh in 1983 and enjoyed his retirement.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Darleen Weller of Westminster; brother, Norman Weller of Westminster; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Edward and Miriam Beck of Sykesville; grandson, Justin Weller and his wife Erin of Edgewater; also several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Helen Crofton and Virginia Barger.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday 11:00 A.M. at St. Benjamin’s (Kriders) Lutheran Church, 700 Kriders Cemetery Road, Westminster with his pastor, Rev. David S. Schafer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster and Tuesday 10:00 am until time of service at the church.
